County & State Criminal Court Search

The County & State Criminal court search provides crucial information in regards to felony and misdemeanor convictions. CRCA obtains these records through online portals from the direct court jurisdictions as well as onsite criminal records when necessary. We utilize a network of court researchers and follow all FCRA and State guidelines, we deliver access to the most current and extensive information available.

    County Civil Records Search

    The CRCA Civil Court Records Search provides analysis of civil court records which are searched at upper and lower civil courts. These records may provide insight into an applicant’s involvement as a defendant or plaintiff within civil litigation actions. Also may show any civil actions filed against the subject such as but not limited to judgements and liens.

    Driving History

    CRCA pulls driving records directly from each states Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). The information that is available is based off of each states reporting laws.

    Notes:

    Certain states may require additional consent forms, in which case your account manager will reach out to you or the applicant to obtain. These records are pulled directly the state the applicant/employee currently holds a driver’s license, and the search scope is based off that states reporting laws.

    Education Verification

    The CRCA Education Verification includes but is not limited to; verification of degrees, as well as dates of attendance, if available. The verified information is found either at the institution directly or through the National Student Clearing House.

    Employment Credit History

    The CRCA Credit History reports the entire 7 year credit history of the applicant, including but not limited to; public records, judgments, liens, bankruptcies, etc. The employment credit history does not include FICO score due to FCRA regulations.

    Notes:

    An onsite inspection must be completed prior to acquiring access to credit reports. CRCA will coordinate with your organization to facilitate this inspection. It is also recommended and in some states the law to only run credit if it is relevant to the job the applicant is applying for. CRCA utilizes Transunion for credit reports and is based off a 7 year scope.

    Employment Verification

    The CRCA Employment Verification includes but is not limited to; dates of employment, job title, reason for leaving, eligible for rehire etc. CRCA also may ask certain questions based on job performance, these questions can be customized upon request. Some verifications are verified through on online database and may incur additional fees. CRCA will notify you before verifing and charging additional fees.

    Federal Criminal Court Search

    The Federal Criminal Court search is pulled from the Federal Criminal Courthouse Database known as the Federal Public Access to Courts Electronic Records (PACER), which almost always returns result within 24 hours. The search provides the case and file number from the federal appellate, District & Bankruptcy courts. This may contain convictions of crimes which occurred on federal property and convictions of federal crimes such as, but not limited to, tax evasion, child abduction across state lines, money laundering, drug trafficking, human trafficking, mail or wire fraud, etc.

    National Spectrum Search

    The CRCA National Spectrum Search provides access to one of the largest criminal databases available, currently containing millions of records. Utilized as a valuable supplemental search to the County and/or State Criminal Records search, this search may provide records in location not provided in the SSN Trace address history (Example: An applicant committing a crime in a neighboring county or while on vacation). The records are indexed from state & county correctional facilities, state sex offender registries, and some state & county criminal records. CRCA does not provide database criminal records, so we will verify at the county level jurisdiction if something is found on the National Spectrum search before reporting.

    Sex Offender Registry Search

    The CRCA Sex Offender Registry Search provides information from nationwide as well as state by state databases and websites. All adverse reported information found is verified through the sex offender registry at the specific state where the applicant is registered.

    Notes:

    This is a national and statewide search and based on a 7 year scope which will inform you if your applicant is currently registered or has been in the last 7 years. Certain states have limitations on the use of sex offender registry information for employment reasons.

    Social Security Number Trace (Person Search)

    We utilize the name, address, date of birth, and social security number provided by your applicant on the disclosure and release forms. The SSN Trace helps to verify the accuracy of the information as well as potential identity fraud. The SSN Trace provided a full list off addresses as well as names (AKA’s) associated with the applicants social security number. This information is obtained from a variation of different

    sources, collected when an applicant applies for credit, registers to vote, signs up for utilities, etc. The SSN Trace is a crucial first step for all criminal background checks.

The SSN Trace should only be used as an investigative tool to help with the search parameters of a criminal background check by collecting previous names and addresses.
